What's the story?

We are often asked: "how did you end up here? Doing this?"

Faithful readers of our blog will know the story from our yearly posts, but for those of you who just joined us here is the tea:

The three of us met here in Tamraght almost five years ago and instantly realised that we were a good team. We were working together and we all had this idea: "if I was running the show, I would do it differently"

So we decided to give it a try. Enter Mr. Fantastic! If you don't know him, that is a good reason in itself to join us here, he is quite spectacular. It is hard to describe what is a Mr. Fantastic? He knows how everything works, he can build everything (it will not be level or straight) he can fix anything and he makes things happen! He was the guy who said: "why are you sitting here talking? let's go! Think BIG"

4 days of househunting ended up with our cute little villa in our dream location. It was empty. And we wanted to start with a bang!! So we started selling the first New Years retreat without any furniture what so ever. We came for 10 days in November to buy everything and get the house ready for a full house - and a full house we got!

Our first retreat was an amazing week with 10 cool girls from all over who complimented each other so well and made us feel like we definitely were on the right track! HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2020 the year for everything!..... NO!

2020 sucked and 2021 was difficult, but the pandemic taught us all to work in a different way and we have made adjustments to the house so we can house those digital Nomads. This week our house is full of people from different countries working from our sunny little home - perfect!

It is a business of course. We are an official Moroccan company with an ICE number and an accountant and all that jazz. But most importantly it is a community. Our guests come back as friends, our collaborators are our best friends who feel like family. Fun fact: when we all met, we were working with Pauline and Youssef who has started Amazigh hike and Yoga. And our upstairs neighbours were Hassan and Beth who run Shaka surf Morocco.

We pay Moroccan tax, we hire local women, we shop locally, the money we make stay in this area. And we try to promote all the amazing small businesses that you can find here. We are so proud to be a part of this inclusive and blossoming community. And we are very excited to share it with all of you. Come visit!
